View Full Version : sliding animation when importing in story

Hi,

When I drag an animation in story, the feet are sliding around from the base of the character.

I'm using biped with triangle neck and pelvis on, due to some other issue, wich I suspect is creating this problem.

If I plot the scene to current take, and stay in story mode, it fixes the sliding. The problem is that if I move the animation clip, the feet start sliding again and i need to plot it once again. This makes it very difficult to work in story.

Using mb 2010

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

pictures are not possible due to confidentiality. Sorry

It looks like the feet are sliding because the upper leg is parented to the spine instead of the pelvis, as the biped triangle pelvis rearanges the hierarchy. All the mocap animation is there and works fine, but it looks like the rotation from the spine is affecting all the way down.

The animation has been retargeted to a character, and works perfectly. The problem happens when i try to apply it to another character, same size and hierarchy, using the story panel.

This was working perfectly before I exported the characters using biped triangle pelvis. That is why i suspect that is the problem.

I hope it helps explaining the problem
