Earlier I posted a new thread asking for critics on a female nude I am working on.

I apologize for improper posting and send thanks for letting the thread stay. I have since reviewed the rules and am going through the proper channels this time in order to post.

I am moving my thread to the WIP forum because that's what it is. But for any of you who visited my posting earlier please feel free to vist this link. I have posted better resolution images and more of them. I've also added the same image that I initially posted on this site, just to let people know who I am.

Thank you.

Again- I am shooting for photorealism along with lighting and rendering techniques. I am using Maya with Mental Ray.

Looking good!!!

C&C

Head - Looking at the profile I can see a couple of things that you could work on. The forehead seems to bulge out a bit and could be moved/sheared/rotated back to a more natural vertical! curve. The top of the skull has a very nice shape but may be slightly too high. There is also is an odd bump on the back of the head behind the ear. The ear itself needs more work if your going for realism, get more specific photo reference material. Finally the neck looks a little squashed, I would give her a longer neck for a more feminine appearance.

Arm - The shoulder area is one spot that needs a little more work. Specifically, where the outside flesh of the breast moves up to and into the shoulder muscle. That's a tricky area to build and again I would suggest finding a number of images of that part specifically and study what that really looks like, idealistically speaking of course :).

Hand - The hands look pretty good proportionally speaking. One thing I would recommend is being cautious of using long finger nails. If you're going to have her making a fist of any kind it will more than likely appear like she impaling her hands with her nails.

Torso - The clavicle is not quite the right shape. There is usually a small dip right in the middle. The general torso looks pretty accurate and seems fairly proportional to the rest of the body. Although, some of your post look a bit odd because of the perspective from the camera, a front and side should would tell alot more.

Legs - The legs look quite good from most shots but from the forth shot on the 2nd row of images (the one with her head slightly cut off) there appears to be something wrong with the anatomy of her thigh, it appears concaved. Adding more flesh will probably help fix this problem.

I hope this helps

Cheers!!!

Simply, I think the head is too large. Both in relationship to the body, and the upper head head is too large for the rest of the head.

As was said she needs a longer neck, but without sizing the head down a longer neck would look freakish.

As for the shape of the head I think the back needs to come down, and the sides and forehead need to come in.

I realize you are looking for reality, and not a fantasy woman. But I think the head could benifit from some more tweaking to bring it into a more natural envelope(that wasn't the word I wanted, but it is the only one that came to me and kinda worked:)).

I think the shading is looking Good!
