Hi,
I've been using C4D v8.1 Demo for a long time now and I have to say its probably one of the best programs I've used. The renderer is quick, easy and realistic.
And I love the modeling tools (I'm a poly/sub-d guy) but I only have two problems.
1)Can I chamfer/bevel a vertex? I used to love this feature in Maya, and was hoping C4D could do it too, maybe via a plugin. What this would do in Maya is get a vertex and essentially make it a small face (ideal for navels, or for making little spikes, etc)
2)When I use the knife tool, and let's say I cut a face down the middle, I notice that C4D will automatically connect the new vertex (the one in the middle with the two endpoints on the adjacent face. Now, it's not a HUGE problem, but it does make things messy after so many cuts.
Is there any plugin or a way in the core of C4D to prevent C4D from automatically doing this?
I was looking at MeshSurgery (looking nice) and looked at the movies, but I noticed that everytime he made cuts, there would be a cut right below it. Maybe I'm misreading it, but if MeshSurgery can cut a face and not affect the connecting faces, then put me on the list. And I love how he would go from vertex/edge to vertex/edge to make his cuts.
Can anyone clarify some of this for me :surprised
Thanks pioneers of the 4th Dimension!
