CGTalk - remove atributes

for example if i have an light with a fog attached to it (volume light)

in the attribute editor I have then an arrow which brings me to the fog settings, but there is no way to delete the fog?

so how can i delete the fog?

click on the name (not the arrow) of the attribute with the right mouse button and choose break connection.
or better select your light and go to the hypershade or hypergraph and click the little button for (show input and output conns) there you will see the nodes for the fog (coneShape and lightFogSE). simply delete them
