CGTalk - making the change

hi there people, i need a little help. ive decided to make a change from lightwave to maya 4.5 but im a little intimidated by the MEL scripting as this sort of stuff really isnt my thing. i was just wondering if anyone had any tutorials, tips or links to sites that could help me start to get a grasp of the situation? any help will be much appreciated and rewarded as the beers will be on me! :beer: cheers :thumbsup:

Geeat beginners tutorials are at digitaltutors.com and 3DBuzz.com...
Digitut had one on-line thats pretty cool...
Buzz had one in 3D World that was great for first time mel...Im not sure if its on his site or not...

Well, after you go to those free tutorials, I just d'like to recommend "MEL Scripting for Maya Animators".
It's excellent IMHO!

By the way, I'm coming from LW, too.
