Ultimatum 09-11-2003, 09:34 AM Hello!
How can I do this? :
I create a box and the yellow axes are aligned center to the box. When I want to add width, it adds it to the both right and left sides.

How can I move the yellow axes to the right side so when I add width, it adds only to the left side and right side stays where itīs now.
Thanks,

Just wondering here, but enter into subobject mode, select the left face, and move it?
Other than that I do believe you can change the pivot to the right side, then scaling the object, and voila, that'll yield the result you're looking for. But there's a certain pivot-mode you have to be in and whatnot, and it's a little tricky to explain through text (don't even have MAX here so I'm unable to do screenshots).

Hiererchy Tab > Affect Pivot Only
Move the pivot to the side with the move tool. Unhighlight the Affect Pivot Only box. You should be all set.
For more details, open help, go to the index, and look up "pivot." Lots of info there.

Thanks guys, but those advices donīt work (For me either)...:)
<Gaggle> Yes I could extrude the side but I wanna have an exact measure.
<Lowdown> I tried the Affect Pivot Only trick by moving the pivot to the right side, unlightning it and modifying the width but still the width grows in both directions.

ah...are you scaling it, or adding width in the width dialogue on the box modifier panel?
scaling it with lowdowns method should work
