Hi, the base mesh is good enough for Z-brushing. The rear flippers are a bit separated from each other, you can fix this using the move tool (move brush) in Z-Brush.
For Z-Brush, i donīt know if you are using a tablet or a mouse, but in order to improve the stroke quality, try to set it up in the "stroke" popup menu (default 4, good one 7) and if you wanna to improve it a lot more use the "lazy mouse" feature. Z-Brush has a beautiful tool brush called "clay" try to use it to block your forms, works much better than the standard brush.

ah ha another Walrus. Good base mesh, need to rework the forms though to give it weight.
With zbrush I would advise trying to get as much sculpting out of each level before steping up a level.
This will help you get a nicer surface without any blobby strokes
good luck man be keeping an eye on this one.
