View Full Version : OpenGl or DirectX
binder3d 09-11-2003, 01:33 AM Ok which one is better with AM? Any advantages or disadvantages of using one over the other? Does the video card help only with OpenGL? I think DirectX is all Microsoft right? Its all software and OpenGL is software with the help of the video card right?
Thanks!!!

I think the official skinny is "whatever works best for you and your card"!
Try running the "toy story" project in realtime with both settings and see the difference is what I did.
My nVIDIA Quadro is a OpenGL heavy card, so that's what I use (oh yeah, and I like antialiased lines in my wires).
