View Full Version : Mapping question
fabriciomicheli 09-10-2003, 04:31 PM Hi. I'm new with CINEMA4D, and I've been reading about mapping. I use 3DSMAX too, and I usually work with a kind of mapping called UVW Unwrap, well this is a tool that unfold the mapping of a complex object in a planar projection, and lets you modify the way it is projected in the object surface.
I would like to know if there is an analog tool for this kind of mapping in CINEMA 4D. Or something to map a very complex object...
is there?

cinema has some mapping modes inbuilt for you to generate uv maps, the manual covers how to use and set them up, there's also a plugin pack called MaxUV tools that i wrote, and that is now integrated into bodypaint 2, but is still available for free download form teh library section of my site

this will help you some if you've not got bp yet.
