This concept embraces this idea and tries to follow nature design, the cockpit have independent movement like a head and the wings have several joints.
The luminescence is due the engines and energy used to move the wings, also is esthetically trying to evoke the beauty of a firefly.

They already do, check out the ornithopters on youtube, they are amazing to watch. I love your concept, its very cool :)

Its not exactly what I had in my mind. I mean that the device should be wearable and be able to use in everyday actions. I have not seen such a thing - yet. But world is always full of surprises.
