Hi,

i recently found out about the latest arch viz challenge on cgchallenge and decided to participate. This is what i came up with so far. Maybe its a little off-topic, but even if it doesnt win the challenge (which it wont ;) im still proud of it.

Technical:
Everything was done with maya 5.0 polygons. Most of the textured were either photographed or painted by me in photoshop 7.
Image was rendered using mental ray for maya 5.0 with final gather and one directional light. rendertime was about 6 minutes for this image.
The background plane is a photo taken by me in the joshua tree national park, california, this summer.

C&C appreciated

hi

very great work

i like the flag and the texturing most.. but i think you still have to spend some work on the interior of the house, if you look through the "clap doors", you just see black nothing... i guess you did not model anything inside the house..

but all in all, good work

greets
