Just a painting I did pretty fast (4 hours or something) for an experiment with custom brushes in PSP. The character is very 'videogamy', but I wanted to focus on the composition and the painting. The background is pretty much irrelevant.
Comments welcome and appreciated.

pretty nice character design. I like the motion of the hair, it gives a lot of energy to the composition. On the other hand, the scarf seems to be there for the same reason, and while it is a nice line compositionally, it doesn't make any sense in the context of the character or the motion I don't think.
Also, is she flipping us off with her right hand?
Very nice job.

True, the scarf is purely for composition and rythm (big flowing line).

She is not flipping anybody, she is pointing at the sword with her index finger :)

Very nice!
The style reminds me of Mike Wieringo's (face, feet), he used to draw the Sensational-series of Spiderman (not all of me of course).

I like it very much!
But I think that it looks a bit "dodgy" due to the lines that are very rough, the colouring makes up for that so don't you worry...;)

very nice, tho i'd rather see her grabbin the swordhandle like there's no tomorrow, like now, it could fall from her grasp at any moment . . .

that looks great!
her get-up reminds me of something out of masamune shirow's more recent fantasy stuff, a la intron depot 2 blades. very cool & great color job!

looks good...one thing...for the composition of the piece, you should leave more room on the bottom then the top (golden rectangle). There is nothing of real interest at the top of the picture that makes it otherwise.

Very nice, but, erm, what can I say apart from
*major* cameltoe!!!!!

That costume cannot be comfortable!

Good to see some artwork on here drawn in Paint Shop Pro!

Sorry guys but PSP meant PhotoShoP, not Paint Shop Pro :( Doh!

Photoshop is my favorite program ever :)

Regarding the comment about her outfit not being comfortable, I totally agree, but I noticed that usually girls don't choose their outfits to be comfortable ;P (thong and high heels anyone?)

Fluxgrafx: very intersting your comment about the golden rectangle. Do you care to elaborate on that? (i learned that in school but forgot everything about it)

I stared at this for a while because something about it was thowing me off. I liked it, but something didn't feel right; then I realized its her calves, ther are too big. Even though she is fairly muscular, she isn't that muscular; the calves are as big as her thighs. I think that left forearm is too big also. I agree with other comments too. Nice job though!
