Workflow for uploading onto web

More over, i would like the same quality as my AVI file. I upload straight out of a 7D but when i convert in Macormedia flash to FLV, it loses a lot of quality even though i choose best. I hear this is the best way to upload to websites aside from WMV and H.264.
