(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/417731_1271472602/1024bound)The return of the giant rigid airship for recreational as well as commercial use, is often featured in future utopias. These particular lighter-than-air vessels are powered by electricity from solar cells. The outer skin is a solid shell, made of lightweight composites. Not a "blimp" at all.
Great! They remember me an old game of Amiga times... a space game where you could listen the whales singing in the deep space.
It's so far in the past that I can't remember the name.
PS: of course the helix are just for stability... ;)

Thanks everyone. Glad you like it. I tried to keep it as aerodynamic as possible. The inverted T-tail was my interpretation of one of the great futurist's works. In the distance you can see a hint of a large fin underneath the hull, so I decided to go in that direction.

I really like what you have, but if I could make a suggestion I'd say to maybe show a little bit of variety between the ships. Like putting one facing the opposite direction to make it seem like they are passing each other, or change the logo on one.

Thanks Lasherman, glad you like it so much. I am working on another entry right now, but will follow your advice on the Whaleships and render an update soon.
