I think what i was going for with the character was some sort of misfit soldier (part mechanical) from some strange world which i have not created!
By the way I think I will make a link to a clearer image of him.
Thanks for the posts

If you happen to have a chance could you check out my repost of my other posting.
character: Dino Models Take Two (located toward the top of pg 3

If that image is acceptable I will repost this image and my future images the same way.
Thanks for your help.

Hmmm...yes.
I like the form of the character...but not the form of the textures.
This character needs more...how do you say...he just needs to be roughed up a little to make him more belivable...
But I dont know what the story is behind him...maybe he has a toy like persona and they we all know are mostly are smooth...
Maybe a clue in a small enviromental setting would bring me closer to understanding why he is so smooth looking...or a little closer to the story he might be in.

Thanks for the comments on my character.
Yeah the texturing needs to be improved. Generally i have not focused too much on texturing
(though good texturing can really help to bring out a character).
I would like to retain some of his general smoothness - but some depth/realism in the textures would be a significant improvement.
I'll try to develop an enviornment to place him in.
I posted a second image of him. http://whimsics.com/imageThree.jpg (http://whimsics.com/imageThree.html)
