Hi there,
According to 2-pop.com yesterday and maccentral.com today, discreet have announced Combustion 3 - their desktop super-compoer now with a few NLE capabilities to do basic editing.
Supposedly aimed squarely at the AE + FCP user on Mac on a G5, according to 2-pop. And perhaps the AE + Premiere user for PC folk. Win2k and XP versions out fall 2003, whenever that is. Mac OSX to follow in early 2004. Perhaps by the first Macworld keynote of the year.
If it's coming out next year, I'll stay with the prediction that Apple will come out with Shake lite for Mac that can use AE filters.
