This is the opening image of my series called "ChakraLand". If I get comments I will post some more.

http://www.freeweb.hu/tarrdaniel/images/myart/chakraland/CH-Planet_small.jpg

Lying in Deep Meditation My Spirit Leaves Me and wonders Beyond.
Turning my Projected Self into an Indestructible Chakra I fly through the Different Worlds of my Dreams.

Technical note: I had comments that my remote server had problems, and many could not see my pictures. Therefore after a couple of different options I have moved the pictures to a different host. I hope you can see them now. :hmm:

Blinded by the illusions of life I set the controls for the heart of the sun...

:) Yes, the flare burns your eyes - part of the concept. Thank you for the comment, here's the next piece:

In the web some are connected, some remain isolated...

How connected are you? :)

Thank you for your comment, here's the next piece called "River":

:D Thank you for the remark. This means I feel obliged posting the next piece.

This one is called "iloobia". The character design is by my good artist friend Tim Grabham.

Just a friendly suggestion Terradaniel,

It would get a lot more response and critique and appreciation if posted in places like Renderosity.... I think its just like an apple in a box full of potatoes.Hope you get my point.

I like ur concepts and Mythical subjects.Just that this (CG Talk) seems to be a rabbits burrow for these Lions.

Cheers.

 Thank you, thank you. I do have a gallery at Renderosity (http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez?Who=cyberguru), so those who are interested seeing more of my art are wellcome to check out my collection...

For me there is no high and low. CgTalk is part of the community. I am happy to display my work here as well. Otherwise I wouldn't meet people like you. I really love your avatar OM.

So anyway here's the next piece called "Inferno":

I peeked around at your renderosity page.... I hope you dont mind a few comments...

Your work is definetly very mixed for me. Some of your work, I really love... it absorbs you and tells interesting stories... some though seem to be lacking the creativity that others do.. This is of course, just my opinion.. On a critique level... its really hard to critique this kind of work, since its purly a matter of if the picture "does" anything for you or not... Some of your work seems to have some pretty decent talent and vision going into, and others seem lacking...

Since your images showed up as x's for me, I have had to base everything off your renderosity page...

Pieces like Sol Niger and ChakraLand 10. - Cell seem to be lacking compared to pieces I think are rather pretty like, "Mandala 4." and "ILOOBIA"

I say... keep doing what your doing... I can't think of any artist out there that has a portfolio of work that 100% appeals to me...

I believe that an industry artists work is only as good as his worst piece.. but I believe that an artist, in the stereotypical sense of the word, conquors out his worst pieces, by his best. I think that just looking breifly into masters art history prooves this point :)

I did want to pose one question though.. I don't intend this to be an insult or anything.. it is purly a question I am curious about...

When you are looking at a surreal painting (ex. Dali, Duchamp, Max Ernst, ect), with some of these paintings it can be really hard to tell what the meaning is supposed to be.. and I believe that it is intended that way, banking more off of the emotions the viewer feels when looking at the work... With Fractal art, (which in my opinion, would be considered surrealist art) since it has no basis in real life (ex. no objects we can relate to, no situations we recognize), do you think that it would loose its emotional connection with the viewer? Or is the intended effect that it be, in a sense, a mood picture... telling its story through color and texture?

:applause: Dear Sciatica. Thank you for your true interest in my art - it's always a great feeling to have people interested. Thanks for checking out my gallery at Renderosity (http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez?Who=cyberguru), although my problem with Renderosity is that you cannot organize your work in seperate threads or galleries, so like you say everything you see is very mixed. It's nice that you can create topical 'gallery threads' here at CgTalk.

I am sorry that you could only see Xs - I wish I had more feedback to see what's going on!!! I have moved the pictures to a new host to solve downloading problems, but I still don't know for sure if it works or not... MORE FEEDBACK PLEASE!

As for artistic questions; My art is obviously a mixture of fractal geometry, deep space images, oriental imagery, hermetic and new age symbolism, and psychedelic art. I consider my pictures a collection of views on the world. With each set of galleries I show a new perspective of different ways of se150m.comeing and perceiving the world around us. For me, everything I perceive is reduced to a set of constituting elements set out on different fields of layers and dimensions creating a limited scene of vision. My art lifts this veil of limited illusion to show the infinite nature of the reality surrounding us, revealing a kind of inner vision of things: mental spaces, microscopic patterns, cosmic cycles, and subtle realms that lie interwoven in our own physical universe.

If you are that much interested you can check out my own personal gallery (http://tarrdaniel.fw.hu/myart.htm) which is divided into seperate galleries and will give you a more clear view on my work.

Fractal art for me constitutes of two major elements: one is the creative process for the artist, which is a kind of mental exercise of discovery and revelation; the other is the viewer's reaction, which I think is more of a sub-conscious reaction than an emotional one. It's not just a "mood" - it's an unconscious, hidden "pattern" of thought and reaction.

To understand more about hidden aspects visit two of my other threads, which work not with fractals, but with "terrazzo":

Sadhu Mandala (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87359)
The Thousand Faces of the Buddha (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87166)

Thank you and I hope to hear from you again!

Here's the next piece called "Manchala":
