I recently started to have problem when moving vertex point in polygone modeling and it seem as if there is a snap but the snap is not on. If I zoom out far from my object, the snap effect is so bad that the point move away from the object.

In order to move them correctly, I need then to move very close to my vertex and then move it. This is time consuming and I went through all the 3dsMax options in grid and snap and could not find what is causing this.

I also deleted the 3dsMax.ini file just in case but that did not solve the problem. Any help in removing this anoying snapping effect when moving would be really appreciated...I am going nuts!!!

OK this should help in your snaps menu check the box that says midpoint that will make it snap directly on the vertex by the way what you making???

all snap options are disabled, nothing is checked on the snap menu. I don,t know why it snap like that and what is wierd is that the farther I am from the vertex and the bigger the snap. If this would be a standard snap option, would it not be consistant? I don,t understand why it get smaller step if I get close and hudge step when I get farther away.

I don't want any snapping at all but everything that I can see is already disabled. Still it is there and anoying. takes me 10 time longer to do my work because I have to zoom in to move points all the time and then zoom out to select them...simply crazy.
