View Full Version : Modeling a Gecko/Lizard

Now that i got my road and desert dose anybody know where i can finde a tutorial on how to model a simple Gecko or a Lizer. But still prety good looking.. =)

Its simple.
No tut is needet
Just find some fotos
and do it Yourself
Wats better than that?

Well, it is simpler than you would first believe.

Why not get a tutorial for a different type of creature, learn the method and then just use suitable reference material of your gecko when ready.

It's not too difficult, if you can model a horse or a dog then lizards are easy, and humans and robots and .....

Thats what i thought, i have lots of pictures but I dont know where to start and witch one i should pic.

hers one i really like.
Any ideas on how to start.. im a newbie have just done abstract stuff befor reall modeling. =)

thankfull for any help I can get...

You could start by roughing out the shape of the lizard. It depends which kind of modelling method you're planning to use. You can start adding the extremities like fingers and eyes and stuff after you have the main shape. Just take it one step at a time and make it how you want. =) I would normally use a side, front, and maybe in the case of the lizard, a top reference image. You could always check out 3dbuzz.com. They have a fantastic video tutorial on how to model an alien's head using reference images. Very descriptive. Perhaps watching those will give you a good idea on where to begin. Good luck.
