I'm a 3d student and this B17 is my first model and texture etc etc i have made.

I need harsh feedback. I know it needs to be tweaked but i need other eyes to find flaws for me..

Although any compliments will be greatly accepted to

quick crit -

the modelling looks pretty solid (without deep inspection) altho an exact likeness to the real b-17 shape is highly suspect.

now all you need do is add propper lighting and materials to really make this bird sing. (and drop the standard max sky)

you have a nice bases to work on tho :)

Thanks 4 d info, i agree that i need to put a metal support on the nose as the b17 had one but i'm finding it damn hard.

Yeah my lighting bites n i need to redo my texture..still struggling with photoshop.

As for the sky...I HEAR YA! :)

The only thing which looks like a real B17 is the tail. Neither are the engines nor the nose or cockpit frame looking like the original.

Try to look more often at photos of your object you want to model. 3 views are only for modelling the basic shape.

The model looks quiet nice.
I would only change the material like Strat said.
Try a phong shader, reduce the reflectivity and the cosine power.
Additionally create a bump map, dirt map, a.s.o.

Furthermore:Are those labes seperatly layered, ore is it an entire
texture map, you´re using?! If so, consider about handling them seperatly.
Why?!
Your labels do not line up with the texture and geometry guidlines.
Best example at the entrance.Looks a bit weird to me.You have to
rotate them a bit.

Hope this helps you

Yeah i Used UVW unwrap in Max 5, IT WAS A BITCH..i'm open to any new suggestions on how to texture better.

I used to do multi sub object because the UV unwrap took forever and it looks shocking.

Any suggestions?
