As interesting the cyberpunk genre is, in terms of computer games its pretty neglected. The dues ex series is one of the exceptions, but in terms of multiplayer games cyberpunk truely is ignored. There hasn't been a good fps multiplayer cyberpunk game since...forever. Well damnit its time to change that.

Armed with some original ideas, and a well written game design document I've been able to assemble a 15 member team to make a cyberpunk mod for half-life2. And we were doing fine until valve said that they WERE going to be releasing hl2 in september, rather then delaying it to november or further. Because hl2 will be on time rather then delayed, our two modelers will be rather squeezed for time and I'd prefere not to do that.

We have two competent concept artists, with our lead one (quakulf) doing some fantastic work. We plan on ripping off ghost in the shell, blade runner, and other great sources while still being different enough so we won't get sued.

Heres a few art pieces, and at the bottom is one of the weapons partially modeled.

Anyway we're looking for one more modeler(maybe 2) and an animator for when the models are finished.

thanks for your comments, I'll pass those on. It will make two certain frantically buisy college students happier.

While this post hasn't attracted a slew of attention, we have had some strange luck and been able to attrack 3 very talented modelers over the past 7 days. So actually things are looking very good for the mod.

We plan on having a public beta test by the beginning of january, so that give sus about 3 months for the four programmers to flesh out much of the mod. If we get enough fans I'd prefer to do a closed beta test with maybe 500 participants, its just a matter of how well known the mod is in january.

Oh an heres another art piece by one of the concept artists.

Now that is some damn cool artwork! Get some color on the others. Not here to help out. I can do some coloring though, but I'm not near as good as your artists. Good luck, and keep us updated!
