Hey....can someone explain what this does? I played around with it and you can set the OGL level and do stuff like that which appears to make a model smoother...but when it appears smoother on the user screen, when i render, it is the same shape it was without the OGL level set. Am i sayin this right? Please help...i cant figure out to make shapes smoother instead of all blocky. Is there another way? Please help...thanks

Attila

You really should look in the manual for detailed descriptions of what Geometry Approximation, and all the options/tabs do. In general the geom. approx. property is used to control the tesselation of your mesh, either subdivided or NURBS. It also controls the angle based smoothing of your polygons, and any displacement applied to the mesh.

To smooth the mesh the same level it is in OGL view, set the render slider(s) to the same value as the OGL one.
