What's the difference between Channel Box and Attribute Editor?

nothing, really.
but the things that come to mind: speed, screen real estate, attribute masking (Channel Control), easy value sliding (single/ multiple, multi-node), keyframe functions ...
depends what you do, as to whether it is of any significant difference to you.

the channelbox provides keyable attributes only, though those can also be customized via the channel editor.

it's an easyway of managing directly keyable attributes while animating.
