View Full Version : Normal Map Help

I'm having some difficulty here. I'm new to normal mapping and zbrush, so this is just a test. I took an object from maya, imported to zbrush for some detail testing, normal mapped it out, and took the normal map back into maya. It renders out in maya mental ray just fine, but in maya software, I get this:

I also did it with transfer maps in maya, and still get the same results. The folds are perfect, except for the jagged lines. There's no texture yet, and I set the bump node attribute to tangent space normals. I'm figuring out what I did wrong and what I need to do to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
