No offense, but that doesn't look 3d to me.

A really good model and render if it is 3D, but if it is not... get a life.

What software did you use?

Can we seee some wireframes?

Wh ydo you think that its not 3d, u can clearly see its handmade and its also very good,
if you have doughts look at the ear
or on the white scarf it is a little pointy back at the neck

dont know why you 2 "soatari & Zmei" have doughts i think it a very very good modelled character

I hope you guys are kidding.

Look for some common CG problems: Jaggies. Look at the coat collar, it has jaggies. The nose and ear have no SSS.

That being said, it is a very good model and render, though the mouth looks a little strange, and the eyes just don't seem like they have the proper depth to them.

There's just something a little disproportional about the face. I'm not sure what it is.

Anyway, good work, cheers,

-Tony

I agree with Twooster, maybe try squeezing the mouth (not so wide?)

Thank you for the comments!

I've done it in Maya and retouched in Photoshop.

I hate Jaggies!..:annoyed: ... the next time i´ll beware of the jaggies...

The nose and ear have no SSS.
Excuse me for my poor english, but what's the meaning of SSS?

Sub Surface Scattering, though I'm not sure it would be recognizable in that angel and in a bw photo though there's a highlight on the ear...

Like the face, esspecially because it is not that proportional. Gives him some charakter.

the lighting kinda makes his face look flat

Nice modelling, I don't know why those first two guys thought it was a fake...pretty obvious to me that it's 3d...but, hmmm, i guess some people are just ... odd:shrug:

hehe nice work, the ear looks odd, I also agree that that mouth should be narrower... The rendering style would look great as an animation!

Thank you Mangalore for the explanation.

TWooster is right, my model doesn't have SSS, perhaps the next..

About the disproportion of the mouth, I tried to correct it, but the character lost his personality, I don't know why...

And I know the ear isn't perfect, But I thought that from this angle it would not be appreciated...., I was mistaken...

Thank you to all...:applause:

I think the lips give him a good "cruel" look.
The ear looks a little lumpy, but still quite good.
Look forward to seeing more:applause:

this is really nice work!

i think that you could make the shadows stronger and darker - that would help the face look less flat and give a sense of mystery to the character

:)

Yes noen, if i make the shadows darker the face look less flat, but the left eye disappear under the shadow of the hat. Also i can increase the intensity of the main light to increase the contrast, but the enviorement is dark and don't look natural.

Perhaps the fill light from the right side of the head should be more dim, but now is too late...:annoyed:

Anyway, thanks for the replies..

i was scared
so I guess the image served it purpose so is great

i think the "lack of character" and "flatness of face" are both helping the... darkness of the character? so nothing wrong with that in my opinion

keep it up

hey take the comments about it being faked as a complement. i have to say i was skeptical at first glance but after looking really hard to find flaws i was a believer. all this just goes to show you do a very good job.

oh and wtf = "what the ****?" just to help you out.
i used to get confussed on those and i speak english.
