C4D v8.1 demo question...

how does one configure one's wacom to act kindly with said demo?

kindly for what? I have a wacom and everything is going ok (even with the demo i had before...).

I dunno really what the issue is regarding my graphire...

I open up c4d and though I can open the menu's I cannot select anything...

with the previous versions I have tried it was the same using the wacom mouse, yet using the pen seemed fine, just had to of course select via pref, tablet so as not to have things really fly out of scene eh...

but yea, now nada, for selecting anything, mouse or pen...

The demo has no installer. there for you just unzip to a dir of your choice and its ready to go. It will not put an icon on your startmenu unless you manully do it.
just go to the dir where you unzipped the demo rightclick the c4ddemo.exe and "sendto desktop shortcut"

i got an intuous II so it may not be the same...??? in the tablet pref pane you can assign diff. config to diff. softwares (at least in intuous II)(i have to say i'm on mac that may do a difference as well).

Otherwise try reInstalling your tablet driver (the last updated :D )

Bside all this i don't see; ask maxon support they answer pretty fast usually (btw read the technical faq if there's one regarding this)

In C4D preferences - common - tick the box for graphic tablet.

hi tres, I know that said option must be clicked, that's not it though... I took off the wacom drivers, and simply loaded the Windows version for tablets... now although my tab doesn't work as should obviously, this setup works in C4D just fine, mouse and or pen... just acts like a regular mouse is all... you know, extra motion in moving the mouse... man, it's gotta be something in the wacom driver I currently have on the wacom disk...

Must be. I have a Graphire and it works fine.
