Hello!

still searching a name for the buddy here : )

Some tech info:

Software: Lightwave 3D 7.5
Purpose: fun, self promotion
Render time: aprox 11 hours
System: Duron 800mhz, 192mb ram
Lighting: Montecarlo 4x12 + 1 area light (to boost up speculars)

it came across the new Lightwave psd exporter to adjust/contrast a little bit speculars
also added some glow

Soon to post more pictures... maybe some test anim

and here it is a flat surface montecarlo (6x18)

Started modeling the main head cage using lw's splines and patches
then switched to subd. modeling adding detail, subdividing
The big ears were modeled point by point then attached to the main cage

I like the image, but the neck looks abit strange.. Maybe it's just me.:shrug:

The texture is great, i like the membrane and the horns.

Very nice texturing and lighting, not to mention the dragon itself. The background seems a bit like a second thought though, maybe try to integrate it a bit more? Like make a cave or something? It's just that the background looks a bit like clouds but he doesn't seem to be flying.

I would say thanks everybody for kindly posting such good comments, criticism and feedback. :)

due to the lack of time, until now it has not been possible to post further stuff regarding the dragon... :hmm:

i'm gonna post something new very soon.
