That's funky, the first picture is a lot better than the second. You need to turn on AA for the 2nd picture.

Mabye make something interesting out of your object, make a whole ton of the glowy ones scattered about. At the least you'll end up with a nifty background.

Keep trying!

What renderer are you using?

It seems you need some internal reflection/refraction on the second pic, as the extruded (and colored) bits pretty much disappear through it.

Also, is it possible to add some caustics? Maybe a bit of absorbtion to the glass? - just some thoughts...

I would second the AA suggestion and add that you could use any other texture on the table surface than the "popular since 1982" checkerboard.

Otherwise, I do like these little sort of test scenes.

Cheers,

the glowy sphere project......AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! How about a scene? And how about making your spheres having some volume? Like, being solid? As in try a tutorial on correct refraction?

Checkered floor? This is a joke right?

Why would it be a joke? I like it... It has a nice compisition. Except the second pic, the spheres could be in a better order, but all in all the pictures are all nice. It kinda reminds me of glass crafts.

good job :), keep it up
