View Full Version : R11.5 killed feature from R11 ??
Mr.Tyler Durden 03-22-2010, 06:30 PM I'm desperately looking for the "Particle Number" port in Xpresso Thinking Particles GetData node.
Setups saved with R11 using this node's port dont even open up in R11.5, showing the Error Message : incorrect file structure.
Am I missing something ?
cheers

There's no Particle Number port in GetData in R11.0 for me either. Did you create a custom channel? The only place I've seen particle number is at the output of a generator.

I've gone back to 10 an no versions I have, seem to have this port for the PGetData node. could you post a screenshot or simple file containing it?
Are you sure it is the PGetData node?
You not using some special plugin like any of the old Core Arsenal TP plugins?

Nope, its there by default. check the screenshot.
Particle Number was never a standard port for PGetData. What it could have been is a data channel created in that scene. I used a channel named like this in a couple of setups and presets.

So why isnt this file opening in R11.5 properly ?
cheers and thanks for clarification
Tyler
Every name with a type behind it isn't a standard value but a user defined channel.

the biggest tell is also that it is the "nummer" port :D
I know we have a couple typos...but nothing that bad.
Not a typo, just german for number ;)
