hey guys im new here and ive been getting some trouble with my renderings ...there awfully solw...
currently im using
3dsmax 2010 with v-ray and autocad 2010...mainly into architecture

my pc specs are

AMD phenom II x3 720
GA-MA790XT-UD4P board
4 gigs corsair ram
radeon 4870 gpu
2-500 gig drives
os-win xp corporate edition 32 bit

im not too good with matching hi-end hardware,...i was told by some 1 previously that i needed a faster processor and 6-12 gigs ram...any help/recommendations on hardware would really be appreciated..thxx

Upgrading to 8GB of memory and a Phenom II 965 would help quite a bit and neither would require upgrading the motherboard. Though you'd need a 64-bit operating system to use more than 4GB of memory. Cheers!

You really need a 64bit OS
No need for more than 6G of ram
