Hey folks!

Some may remember the thread I started regarding my start of the Alien Queen in CGChannel forum. Some folks have been e-mailing me to get the finished images posted. Between a rather full schedule and family stuff (mom had major surgury - she's doin awesome!) Posting these links wasn't high priority-sorry.

I'm not even going to bother posting the images here - can never get the [img] tags to work right. You'll have to get them right from my site - under construction - not much to see. SLOW CONNECT WARNING: Theyre big images (900x700 typically).

Quick stats: Finished in 60 hours part time in LW 7.5 and tweaked in Maya 4.5. 35,000 subD polys. I'm NOT going to do any surface work on her any time soon simply because I don't have the time (other projects looming). The screen shots are from Maya 4.5 (one from LW)

I did it as more of a benchmark to test my "deadline speed" and have her around as a testbed for advanced Maya rigs. I also had a wild hair up my arse.

I like her very much.
Although I think that her feet are far too small. That's only my opinion, I don't know if you agree with it.
Great work on the details BTW :applause:

I thought so too but then I refered back to the 480 reference images that I had on hand and sure enough, she's got those "chinese lotus feet". I tried bigger feet and they made her legs look T-rex-ish.

One 1600x1200 flat panel + "Aliens" DVD + a high def digital camera = tons of ref photos.

I even have a really dim shot of some dudes armpit sticking out of one of HER armpits! Must have been a hot day of shooting that day.
