wondering a few things about premiere and after fx.

first, is there any difference between the capabilities to alter speed (slow mo, and speeding stuff up) between the two progs?
does after fx produce smoother motion effects?

also how do people usually integrate work between the two progs?
ie, if you do all the editing in premiere and get the timing really nice, but then want to do some speed adjustments to some parts, or other transitions/effects in after effects, is it easy to go back to premiere and readjust the timing?
i understand that some things are not preserved when moving between after fx/premiere...

oh, also, ive been trying to export a movie from premiere, but whenever i do the audio is out of sync.
it plays perfectly in premiere, but when creating output, the audio no longer matches the visuals. Has anyone encountered this???
ive tried several formats to output into. very frustrating

thanks!

Hi kiri,

In regards to time remapping I strongly suggest ReelSmart Twixtor 3 which is a LOT better than what Adobe offers out of the box! I am waiting for my Video Collection box so I will be able to try it out in a few days in Premiere Pro or AE6.

Check out Twixtor here: http://www.revisionfx.com/rstwixtor.htm
The regular version might be enough...best is to try out the demo and see for yourself. :)

As for integration between Premiere and AE I *think* it's better now...sure hope so!

Cheers!

thanks. that looks pretty cool.
is it actually making the motion smoother?

Actually I am making the review as I type thise...in some cases it really makes fluid motions and if you pause on a specific frame you don't see any "ghosting". I guess it becomes essential when your working on DVD quality and above.

Cheers!
