Hi,

I came up with an idea for a shader plugin. I imagine
something like the SLA fusion shader but more extended.
If you want to combine more than two textures you have
to build a nice chain of fusion shaders, very complicated.
And the users without SLA are left alone. How about
something like the layer menu in Photoshop with maybe
some controllers for brightness and contrast? I know
other 3D apps can do this, even Blender.

cheers, Bob

Sounds like a great idea to me! - Baz

Here comes my two most wished ideas:

- an edit modifier or operator which would enable reaching the underelying geometry for primitives, nurbs, deformed objects.

- a blend surface operator, which would blend two or more separate surfaces into one

Great idea Bob, but I have to say I would rather see somthing like this..

(and before anyone flames me, I know it could be better and more correct!)

I do think thought that Fusion will come into its own with schematic view

Oh yeah and how about being able to dock all the windows in the viewport like Maya does with it's panels - it's a real space saver.

DarkTree is the only one I know that is released. With the SLA code base being over two years old and modal we believe that MAXON is going to be releasing a new material system soon that will make releasing anything we have moot. Understand, this is pure speculation, it is only based on what I know of SLA and the current material system.

OOOOhhhhh!, the plot thickens....

Interesting thanks for the opinion Darf, I suppose if you are right, we will be waiting a bit longer after all.
