:wise: Baba Yaga is a russian folklore figure, shortly and evil witch and hag that likes to eat children and warriors.

Hey Time Serpent, your model is looking cool  Are you going to model the interior at all?
Looking forward to seeing the details you are going to add :)
I might suggest making the actual chicken feet a bit scrawnier - right now they are kinda fat. Although they do look cool... Hmmm... I guess it's really up to you ;)

Cool house.
This has now jogged a distant memory playing an adventure game in the IBM 8086 days, when doing something caused the house to stand up on it's chicken legs.
I thought they were being original, now I know different.

Yeah that game was Sierra's Hero Quest, which was the first in the Quest For Glory series - those games were AWESOME!!! :buttrock: :buttrock:

The Time Serpent

yes Hero Quests where awesome game except the last on wich was crappy...
the legs indeed a bit too fat, about the interior im not sure, i will make the exterior and baba yaga herself ( also im thinkin about tryin to make a short animation where a sage will play some russian music and the house will dance :) )

Oooooh that will be soooo cool!!! :bounce:
Yeah, the last game in the series was very disappointing  The best was was the second one - I've played it over about 100 times because I love it sooo much!

The Time Serpent

the second one? but they never made a remake of the second one... my favorite is the remake of the first one then comes the third (wich was very cool) and the the fourth one wich was also cool

I don't care that they never remade the second one - I actually love it!! Even though though the graphics are really crap by today's standards, the game itself was just so cool :bounce:
The third one was awesome  The jungle and the savannah and those "awful waffle walkers" - a great game!
The fourth one was excellent, but a bit buggy :surprised Especially when you went wondering around that castle, the game would crash a lot. That little vampire girl up in the tower used to really guve me the creeps :surprised

well I have.
I think the grass is looking really good as well as the feet of the house/bird. But I think that tere can be worked more on the design of the house.
I mean teh lower part of the wooden horizonatal cilinders is good but the window and door are a bit flat.
And the diagonal wooden things that are part of the roof are like they are attached with glew. Show a bit how you think it should be constructed Add some trees or some envirnment that makes the pic be in a forest,
Well keep going

Well, I don't know a thing about this Baba Yaga thing so I can't really comment on the style. The modeling looks good. But I think the straw texture on the roof needs to have as much definition as the grass. The chicken feet look OK...but they might be a little flat on the front of the ankle. It's hard to tell in that pic. We've got 7 days left, will you be able to do a whole forrest in that time?

Well, it's good to see an update at last!!!
The texturing has improved, although the wooden beams which cross above the door don't look right yet - you need to rotate your projected image so that the grain lies diagonally, like the beam itself.
The grass looks great, and the feet look cool too
I also think the straw on the roof needs some attention - like ZrO-1 mentioned, if the grass is going to have so much definition, then you need to bring the straw's detail up to the same level.
It's coming along really nicely though

The leaves are particle driven, right? If so you might be able to keep them at the tree better by messing with the attraction attributes of the particles. I'm not an expert with the particles though. Pro'lly Oz could give you some tips about it since he did all his leaves/grass with particles.

That looks really good. I like the tree trunk variations you used. The skulls on the fence posts are a nice touch too.

The first one is better, i think. The second one is too dark (even for a wich´s cottage). But the skull´s glows look great, much cooler than those dwarfish lawn ornaments.

The Time Serpent

dwarwish lawn ornaments?:curious:

Hey that turned out really nicely, Time Serpent
I like the night time one more, I think it suits the subject better. But the daytime one is great too!
I think what Pancreas was talking about are those dwarves people put in their gardens.

By the way - for some bizarre reason, the face of the character in your avatar has always reminded me of a young Bruce Dickinson HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
