Does arch&design shader does not allow excluding from lighting?
Make a simple test: create a plane with a teapot, assign it arch&design, the put a spotlight below, and exclude the plane from illumination with raytraced shadow on. It won't light it, whereas it will with standard material. It makes in very unconvenient to simulate GI with spotlights.
