Hi Tyrinid yep they're using Maya. Give em a call about work-experience you never know your luck. Talk to Chris, I think his email address is on the site.

I have been looking for a place to 'maybe' do work expierence.
I just emailed them then. I'm at my girlfriends house and she's on 56k so I will dowload the reel tomorrow. I'm sure its fantastic.

Nice flower thing at the very end.

I am glad there's stuff going on in Sydney. It's one of my favorite places. I know Animal Logic is doing well. I hope the wealth spreads around down there. Lovely city, fantastic people, great weather.

Some former work mates moved back there this summer.

Agreed. It was quite a fantastic looking reel - I really liked the crazy flower effect and theme that soma-cg had running through the reel - exploding particles which fade into flowers, a bud opening, a field of flowering growing. It was wicked. There were bits in there where the particles went berseke; in particular that strange game like sequence with the little metroid like creatures and FFSW like "ghosts"

:applause: :applause: another cg firm located in the north shore hub. I think I might have heard of them before - can't remember how/where but maybe in relation to omnilabs? or was that someone else?

:applause:

Yeah I guess that's the way it goes for all of us. All you can do is just keep putting it out there.
