View Full Version : Aligned particles from a point

I'm having trouble woking out something quite simple.

I want to emit a cone-shaped particles from a point emitter, and I want them all to be aligned so the pointy bit of the cone is pointing at the place of origin of the particle. The particles all need to fly out in all directions, away from the emitter point.

I can't even find a point emitter (although I suppose a sphere would do too), let alone a way of aligning the clones (it might be nice to have some tiny variation in there too to stop everything appearing too uniform).

Every time I try this with TP (which is how I would like to do it, although I can't do it with a standard emitter either) I can't align the particles and also the particles drift about in a most odd way close to their point of origin.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks very much Chi - that did the trick along with a PAlignment node.
