I'm kinda new to texturing so I need to know the basic principles of texturing complex objects. Example: I want to make textures blend for different parts of the object. Let's say you have a texture for the face and head, and another for the neck and torso. Well, how do I get them to blend between each other so it looks like I have a whole texture, seamless!

Texture mapping you say? Blend materials? The tutorials I've seen so far have'nt given me much!

I would prefer working in Photoshop as it is one app I know fairly descent.

Anyone with suggestions? Or is there any GOOD tutorials on the subject out there? We have top notch artists in here, so I know I'm in the right place for top dollar guidance!

Thank you in advance!

You may have already seen these, but Neil Blevins has a heap of tutorials on all sorts of texturing stuff:
