Hey,
I creating this scene of a Flow of Throw-Up is heading towards this kid and the camera is "surfing" on the Barf. It is part of a series of shots i'm diong for this Guy. The plate is fine, it was shot on a sony DV witha boy scare about to be barfed on. I'm using Maya's Ocean shader and just bent the plane so that its looks as if its spewing out, along with changing all the atts to look better with what i wanted. I'm planning on using boats to Make corn and whatever in the Throw-up. It doesn't have to collide witht the boy at all.

Should i do it this way or use particles?

How can i add chunks of water spitting out of the main flow using the maya ocean shader? How can i customize this more?

Thanks alot .

lol....Hey dude

I would probably keep what you got from the fluid shader as your base and then work up from there. Depends on your look to the barf....real runny or chunky monkey. Particles would probably be quicker than playing with a fluid shader in my opinion. I would make tons of seperate particle layers and then comp that stuff outside of 3D.

You can also use geometry instancing to make lots of corn, carrots, cheerios, wax crayons etc. to fly out at the guy. What about shooting some live footage of crap flying out of a bucket or something and try comping that?

Just some ideas, good luck.

Cheers
