View Full Version : VRAY help
adamfinger 09-04-2003, 09:57 PM The lighting and feel of my scene is to my satisfaction, but there is a severe lack of detail and some smudging in the scene.
What settings do I adjust so that there is more detail but still retain a somewhat low render-time?
Thanks.

http://www.chaoticdimension.com/forums/phpBB2/index.php prob a good place to look as is www.vray.info
try reducing your min rate samples and increasing your max rate...somewhere between min -3 and max 0 works well depending on how many passes you want.
also try increasing your hsph subdivs and your interp samples
samples control the threshold of the sample lookup, hsph subdivs sort of controls the accuracy of the sample, interp is how smooth it looks or something along those lines

I almost never go over -3, -2 for GI. And -3, 0 for AA sampling. Should be clean and fast.
Good luck.
