View Full Version : Please Help Me To Make Brazil Works

I've got 3DS 4.02fr and i've just downloded Brazil. I did everything it is written in the brazil installation guide but I still can't use it. I think the problem comes from the command line in the shortcut. I wrote this :

D:\Logiciels\3DSMAX402fr\3dsmax.exe -p brazil.ini

without quotes. But in my standard 3DS shortcut, there are quotes :

"D:\Logiciels\3DSMAX 402fr\3dsmax.exe"

When I click on the brazil shorcut to max, max launch but i can't select brazil in the render panel.

What's the problem ? How can I solve it ?

try to be sure that your french version of max is compatible with brasil.... :annoyed:

What's in your brazil.ini? What does your path to the brazil plugins look like (the *.dl* files)?

First thank you for the replies... I give you some informations you want. Here is what is in my brazil.ini :

[Directories]
Standard MAX plug-ins=D:\LOGICIELS\3DSMAX402FR\StdPlugs
Additional MAX plug-ins=D:\LOGICIELS\3DSMAX402FR\PlugIns
[Help]

and here is what is in my plugin.ini :

[Directories]
Additional MAX plug-ins=D:\Logiciels\3DSMAX402fr\plugins
Standard MAX plug-ins=D:\Logiciels\3DSMAX402fr\StdPlugs
Shag: Hair Demo Plug-in=D:\Logiciels\3DSMAX402fr\plugins\Digimation\Demo\
New Entry=D:\Logiciels\3DSMAX402fr\plugins\Brazil\

And here is the path to the brazil plugin directory (where the *.dl* are):

D:\Logiciels\3DSMAX402fr\plugins\Brazil

So what's the problem ?

ok, i launched Max and brazil launched too...
But now I've got another problem, when i render anything, brazil render and when it's finished, a dialog box appears to say that Max crashed and ask me if I want to save my scene.
I can't understand why max crashes after a render because without brazil, it works correctly.....so please, help !!!!!

I see you fixed yur .ini problem....

But, I don't know what to say about your new one.
Maybe try a reinstall?

Or, try to contact the folks at splutterfish.com, they can probably help you more than anyone here.
