View Full Version : Krakatoa voxel rendering and realflow
maxbondarchuk 03-10-2010, 05:16 AM When i import realflow sequience into krakatoa prtloader and make particle rendering everything is ok, but when i trying to make voxel rendering i`ve got wrong result(( whith PFsource voxel rendering is ok. Why voxel rendering not works whith realflow? Thanks

Can you define "wrong"? :)
It would be very useful to see a side-by-side comparison of particle rendering and voxel rendering to understand the issue.
Sometimes RealFlow particles can refuse to appear at all (in both modes) if the Density channel in the BIN file contains 0 (I am not quite sure how it is being used by RealFlow, but I have seen such cases. In that case the solution is resetting the Density channel to 1.0 (in Krakatoa v1.5.x using a KCM, in older versions there was a checkbox in the PRT Loader to reset the Density to 1.0). But if your particle rendering looks good and the voxel rendering does not, your problem could be something else.
Just post two images so we can see what the problem looks like...

Thanks a lot. I`ve already fixed the problem (pexelpro helps me :) ). The problem was in the scaling options, thats why the voxel rendering gives strange overlapping beams. i use voxel size: 0.004 voxel filter 2 Final Pass Density 0.02 density Exponent -7 and everything is OK :)
But another problem(( if i want to save the result of rendering on the HDD, i choose "set render output file" - right-click Render button on GUI- choose, for example ".exr". then click Render button - and have nothing on HDD((.
Thanks.
