View Full Version : Character: female head
Here is a model I started during the cinematic game icon challenge. At least the head from it :)
Since I'm not that good in modeling human heads I could need some comments how I could improve her head. At the moment she doesn't look....hmm, nice...hot....or what else you wanna call it :)
I tryed to get a good topology on this head, but if there is something wrong please tell it to me.
I know there is something wrong with her eye area and the chin.....but I can't figure out what....or how I could change it.

Could you post front and side shots, it's much easier to critique anatomy with those basic views.
C&C with the views you have -
Eyes - It looks like she's squinting with her lower lids and raising her up lids up high as if she were surprised. Perhaps lowering them both to some degree would help.
Nose - The seems a little pinched at the base of the bridge (if you know what I'm talking about). The shape of the rest of it appears to be fine, except that you have more geometry than you really need. Unless you plan to make the nose with very obvious cartilage showing, I would try to reduce a bit.
Mouth - The upper lip almost looks swollen and puffy like she was stung by a bee. You might want to get some photos of lips from different angles to understand the shape more clearly. I would be able to see what happening much better with a side shot. The lower lip also seems a bit pinched in it's outer edge. Adding more flesh is probably all you need to do.
Skull - Its hard to tell from these angles what specifically needs to be altered but as near as I can tell its close to a natural shape. Again front and side shots will help greatly.
Hope this helps a little
Keep up the great work!!!!!:applause:
thx very much cybernaut, will try your suggestions!

This is more like young girl but you can use it as a reference.
Buy some anathomy books, that will help you a lot about proportions.
