View Full Version : Help - Text, Bevel Plus, Renderman
worldbyte 09-03-2003, 11:56 PM Help please....
I used the Create Text to make the text, then I used the bevel Plus, when I render with the Maya 5.0 software, it renders ok, but when I use the Renderman it's a mess, as you can see in the pictures.
Can anybody tell me why is this happening.....plz

Stoopid geocities.
Erm are the objects poly's, NURBS, what?
What happens if you delete history and (if it's poly's) do a poly cleanup on the object?
Just a guess here, but perhaps prman doesn't like faces with a bazillion edges. Sometimes I need to run a triangulate command on the front face. Looks ugly, but usually exports better.

They are NURBS, and I've tryed to delete history, but the result is the same
This seems such an easy thing..... but I can't figure it, where is the problem.
Thanks

I'm not sure if this was the correct thing to do....but I've sort it out.
When I make the Surfaces > Bevel Plus, I go to the outupt and select NURBS instead of Polygons, maybe this it was, what I was doing wrong.
Hope it helps someone....
Thanks for the help anyway
