thanks!

This page from Dan Ebbert's Expressions guide should have what you're looking for.

ya, it looks like something that should help, but i didn't quite understand it.. maybe someone can try and explain?

btw:

if i do a wiggle to a position like:
wiggle(5,20)

it means that it will wiggle 20 pixels, 5 times a second?

(sorry for the newbie questions)

I don't think I can do a better job then Dan at explaining it, but I tend to think of the amplitude as the maximum amount of pixels the wiggle can move in either direction from it's current point.

For example, if your layers position is 0,0 and you wiggle it on the x axis with wiggle(1,50)
Then it will wiggle randomly once a second within the values of -50,0 and 50,0.

See the example given under the wiggle method on this page (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/9.0/WS3878526689cb91655866c1103906c6dea-79f8a.html).

thanks for the link Todd, they gave a link there of a script that does wiggle without writing the expression, and there are check-boxes for the desired axises which you would like to apply the wiggle to.
