hey guys,
I recently got a second 19" crt monitor, and i wanted to set up a dual display. My gfx card is an MS StarForce GeForce4 ti 4200 agp8x. Now the card has one dvi and one vga, but i have a dvi to vga adapter (which came with my gfx card) that is plugged in the dvi connector slot. Whenever i restart the computer, i can see the booting sequence and windows starting screens on both monitors. However, as soon as windows starts, only one monitor works and is detected. I've installed nview as well as ultramon 2.2, and they both see the second monitor as being disabled. What can i do to get both monitors working?

thanx.

To use Dualview r-click on the second monitor in display properties and select Attach.

To use Span on the other hand find Nview controls in Advanced Display Settings and select "Span".

thank you guys. Up and running both monitors @85 hz refresh in 1240x1024 res 32 bit color. Is this safe or should i bring it down a notch?

Safe. And good for your eyes. I wouldn't go lower than that.
