How do I instance one half of my head and not get a crease down the middle. Nothing I try can get rid of the crease.
I have tried doing it in polys and subd's. Even when I try and instance one side of a shpere I still get the crease. Please help.
Thanks
Tim

With polygons: Select both pieces, combine them (polygon > combine) en then select the vertices that are on the crease and merge them (edit polygons>merge vertices)

I just did exactly what you said and it still left a crease.

That means you still have unwelded vertices on the connecting axis.
Go through to check and see with the object info on you HUD.
Use the move tool without "move selected components together" enabled...Snap those verts to the center.
In other words snap those verts to that axis so that all will be on that grid axis so they are centered...then merge verts...

/edit woops i just took a closer look at your post. Just combine them and merge them. The reason your merge isn't working is most likely that your settings are too low. Bump them up a tad.

somewhat related but are you instancing to work on one half of a head and have it affect the other side? Why not just use the smooth proxy?
