Nice solid work, brother.

You know about the trees and shrubs though, right? You should either work them with a little more detail, or take them out of the shot completely.

Did you use the scanline renderer for this?

Nice work, I agree the trees need help

But I think the main thing that's holding this image back, is the lighting. It's very "3d" lighting. What you need to consider is how much of this (real) scene would be lit by the blue sky. You need a lot more (colored) fill lights, and then only a couple of key/rim lights. It would really help out your scene. I would also consider framing it differently. I know that this is a standard shot of the Taj Mahal, but in 3d it just looks lazy.

Its looking ok.
The main problem for me is that the building is looking too flat. Probably because of the lighting. not sure.

Yeah, agree with the house being flat. But i think the trees and bushes has a cool look. I like them being simple.

I have to admit that I know very little about the Taj Mahal and its' surroundings, so take my crits with a pinch of salt. ;)

One thing that bugs me is the sudden transition from the sky to the ground. Perhaps put a subtle gradient from a lighter blue that starts at the horizon line. Your clouds look wrong too - they start very low. I take it this is just a flat image? I know you can't break up the distances by putting anything behind the Taj Mahal, so perhaps use a sky image with clouds that seem to get smaller and smaller the further they are away.

The water is very good. Perhaps make it somewhat transparent? Looks very much like a rippled mirror as it is now.

Also "dirty" the whole scene up a bit more. The textures are very clean and tidy at the moment.

I’m reluctant to say that you should look at more reference material since I doubt you would've got this far without any. If you did, holy crap!

But yeah... wouldn’t hurt to compare your scene with some photos if you want to go for more realism.

Overall, very nice work there dude. It's definitely great work already and has huge potential!
