I didn't get the "CgTalk Daily Sketch 2083 45 mn "Oh Canada..."" in the topic.. Is it that we must complete the doodle for a certain theme - "Oh Canada"? Or what?:)

And the theme "Oh Canada" is a very narrow theme. I just don't have any ideas, beside this year Olimpics, to draw it.. Never been there and have a little knowledge about it. ..Just sharing my thoughts.

hi everyone. i'm thinking about getting more involved in the forums here but i was wondering if someone could clarify a couple things for me

"NTL"- does that mean no time limit?
"55 mn"- does that mean 55 minutes?

im just wondering becuz there was a thread with a "55 mn to finish" and someone posted that they spent 2 hours on a daily sketch. thx for the help and sorry for being a noob :)

Pbryant: I'm pretty new to posting on these forums, too, but I think I can answer your questions. as far as I know, "NTL" is indeed "no time limit," and the "55 minutes" you mentioned was the suggested time limit for that topic. however, I believe things are pretty informal here, so if you go over the limit it's not too big of a deal, although, strictly speaking, the forum rules say that if you go over time you should put a screenshot of your work in progress at the time limit in addition to your finished work. hope that helps!

anyway, here's my entry for this topic:

~25 min, Painter X

it's DJ Scribble! heh, just messing around, I guess.

Yup NTL is No Time Limit and 55mn is 55 Minutes..
You can say put 3 hours into a 55mn sketch, you just have to post what you had at the 55minute mark, with your final 3hour work.. That's why you'll see alot of 2 picture postings
Hope that clears it up!
