View Full Version : help with polypaint!
mecos 03-01-2010, 12:21 AM i'm just trying to get some simple color but when i paint on a model, it paints trough to the other side of the model (no symmetry is not on). how do i turn this off? please help i need to finish tonight.

in the Brush menu, go down to Auto Masking and turn on Backface Mask.
that should do the trick.
also, depending on how thin the area is, you can paint with a smaller brush to limit how much it bleeds through if you can't use backface masking for some reason.

thank you so much. i had a midway deadline last night so i sent part of the model unpainted :P
i'm picking it up again tomorrow and i'll give it a try then. i thought i had seen that button before but i couldn't find it and my eyes were blurring and i don't know.
